Reverie is the state of being pleasantly lost in thought, and this can be linked to Six with the music box, specifically at the end of the game as Monster Six. “So often my reveries are littered With the debris of my hopes and dreams” I don’t quite get the hunger part, since it was never an important point in this game until the secret ending. The bullies are dolls, and they are shown to be hollow when you smash their heads in. “We’re locked up with dolls And their hollowed out corpses, All haunted by hunger, The omniscient force.” ![]() Everything has been twisted and distorted into what they are now. What the signal tower ends up doing to all the unfortunate souls that are effected by it. “Thoughts are distorted, And body dysmorphed Into monstrous forms Of the awfullest sorts.” You could see this as a question towards Mono, who uses a paper bag to sort of reject or hide from the world around him, and maybe even some aspects of himself, like hiding his powers. “The dusk is upon us, I knew as it fell, That darkness is honest, Are you to yourself?” Not sure about the “two in a cell” thing though. The main events of the loop, like the Thin Man’s release, Six’s capture, and Mono vs the Thin Man all take place in the Pale city. “Pale is the prison They doomed me to dwell, With room for just one, But two in a cell.” They are surrounded by danger, and should be cautious at every possible corner. “So whether or not You’re friendly with rats, Pretend you’re a mouse In a house full of cats” If they aren’t in immediate danger, they are being watched by some that will cause them harm, and they should brace themselves for it. If it isn’t knives, it’s eyes in your back” “The hunt has begun, Hold on to your hats. Pretty self explanatory, he manages to make it to safety, but finds himself wanting more of that feeling once he his safe. But once I’m in the clear, and free of all fear, I find that I’m hungry for more” “Now I’m out of the woods, Safe and sound as I board up the doors. The part about running is like at the start of the game, she’s probably keep going by herself if she didn’t need Mono’s assistance to keep progressing. She feels stuck with Mono, and since she is an integral part of the loop, her fate is partially strung to his. You’re strings I’ve been strung too, I dream that I’d run away from you, If my feet could feel the ground.” “Like a puppet tied and hung up, Tightly bound. The “nightmare” is likely the time loop, and every time it resets, Six always gets involved via Mono himself, even if unintentionally. Six does not see Mono as a kid like her, with his appearance being fake or misleading. “Under the guise of a child, Into your nightmare I’ve been lured” Likely a reference to the Time paradox/loop that Mono finds himself stuck in ![]() “In the dwindling twilight, Time is unwinding, lines are blurred” ![]() Also they seem to be perspectives from the end of the game looking back on the adventure. A brief overview, most the Male lines seem to represent Mono and most of the female lines represent Six. In this, I’ll be going into JT Music’s Little Nightmares 2 rap, “Nightmares Never End” line by line to try and find their meaning, which would help me understand how they interpreted the game’s story.
